1 / What is ADHD?

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects both children and adults. At its core, it involves ongoing patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity — but its impact reaches further than most people realize.

For many, ADHD shows up in the everyday details: difficulty managing time, staying organized, maintaining focus, or regulating emotions. It can affect how you work, how you relate to others, and how you feel about yourself.

It's important to understand is that no two people experience ADHD the same way. Symptoms look different from person to person in how they show up, and how strongly they're felt. Your experience of ADHD is uniquely yours.

2 / What is an ADHD Coach?

An ADHD coach specializes in helping people with ADHD understand themselves better and make changes in the areas that matter most whether that's work, relationships, daily routines, or personal goals.

Coaching is practical and forward-focused. Together, we work on real strategies for staying organized, managing emotions, building focus, and getting unstuck. It's less about analyzing the past and more about figuring out what works for you, right now.

Coaching is also different from therapy. Therapists focus on mental health and healing. Coaches focus on action, skill-building, and progress. Both are valuable and work well together.

3 / What is strengths-based coaching?

Strengths-based coaching is an approach that helps people focus on their natural abilities rather than their weaknesses. By building on existing talents, skills, and knowledge, this style of coaching supports greater success, motivation, and confidence while empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

4/ What is the difference between therapy & coaching?

Both therapy and coaching can be valuable for people with ADHD, but they serve different purposes.

  • Therapy is focused on processing emotions, healing from the past, and addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety or depression, which often overlap with ADHD.

  • Coaching, on the other hand, is more action-oriented. It’s about developing practical skills, creating systems that work for your unique brain, and following through on your goals.

Think of it this way: therapy often asks, “Why is this happening?” while coaching asks, “What can you do next?”

For many people with ADHD, coaching offers the structure, encouragement, and accountability needed to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

5/ Can ADHD Coaching really help?

Yes it can! Research has shown that ADHD coaching leads to improvements in ADHD symptoms. It  contributes to improving the client's well-being, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. In addition, clients generally report high satisfaction with coaching and the ability to maintain their gains.

7/ How long does ADHD Coaching take?

I ask new clients to start with a three-month commitment, meeting at least every other week. After our second session, we can revisit the schedule and adjust it to fit your needs. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, others meet every two weeks or once a month. Many also return for “tune-up” sessions whenever life throws something new their way. Whatever pace works best for you, the length and rhythm of our coaching partnership is always client-led.

9/ What's a typical coaching session like?

Every session is yours to shape. We can pick up where we left off, check in on your goals, or you can bring whatever feels most pressing that day — a new challenge, something that's been feeling stuck, or a goal you're ready to tackle.

Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, identify the strengths and strategies that work for you, and build a plan that feels realistic and true to your values.

Sessions are judgment-free, supportive, and focused entirely on moving you forward. You'll leave with practical next steps and a clearer understanding of yourself — and what you're truly capable of.

10/ How does understanding my personal values help in coaching ?

Your personal values serve as a compass. They point you toward what really matters in your life. When you know what you values are, it's easier to make choices that feel right, set goals that actually mean something, and build habits that support the life you want. In coaching, we use your values as a guide to help you stay grounded, make aligned decisions, and navigate challenges with more clarity and confidence. Because when you’re living in alignment with what truly matters to you, everything else clicks into place.
